We’re very excited to announce that the Rose City SUP Classic is a 2013 Portland Rose Festival sanctioned event!
The Portland Rose Festival (a.k.a. Portland’s Party) is one of the nation’s longest running city festivals (started in 1907). It’s no slouch of an event either…. in both 2007 and 2011 the International Festivals and Events Association named the Portland Rose Festival the best in the world!
There are myriad activities associated with the festival, and now SUP racing is one of them! The crown jewel of the festival, the Grand Floral Parade, is on Saturday, June 8th. Plus the Rose City SUP Sprint Exhibition will take place on Saturday at the Dragon Boat races during the noon break. Watch for a future post on this as details are finalized.
