Event Overview

Mark your calendars! The 2023 Rose City SUP Classic will take place on Sunday, September 10th. Follow on Facebook for updates! 

As in past years, the race distance options include the legendary 6-Mile Ross Island course and a shorter 4.5-mile-but-still-goin’-’round Ross Island course. Racing will get underway about 10:00am. The awards ceremony will take place shortly after the conclusion of the races, and we will wrap up by 1:00pm. Like 2022, we will be on the beach for the entirety of the event, from registration thru awards. Parking will be in Oaks Park (south end of the parking lot), but new this year is a parking fee. It’s $5 and is payable via the newly installed parking fee machines throughout Oaks Park. We’re grateful to get to use the park, so please pay the fee.

Podium awards will be awarded to the top 3 men and women by age group (see registration form). The only board restriction for all categories is a maximum length of 14’0. Otherwise, all board types are welcome. All racers will be required to have a USCG approved PFD. Leashes are recommended, but not required.

The online entry fee is $40 for both the 4.5 and 6 mile options. Pre-registered racers may pick up their racer packets on Saturday, September 9th at Gorge Performance between 10am and 6pm.

Day-of registration is available on Sunday the morning from 8:00 – 9:15. Cash, check or Venmo will be the only payment options on race day, and the fee is $45. Or easier yet, pre-register online today and put that $5 towards parking!

Rental Boards

Gorge Performance has a few race boards available to rent for this event. Board delivery to the race venue is included in the $50 rental fee. Reservations must be made in advance. 503-246-6646.
